This morning I gave an updated and expanded version of my 2016 Open Source Bridge keynote, Creating a Third Wave of Free/Open Source Software, at the Libre Application Summit. The questions I asked two years ago are starting to come together into a set of answers about what we want to build. I’ve also been exploring the skills we need to achieve those goals.

Thank you to the GNOME Foundation, which provided travel support for me to attend LAS. I really appreciate being asked to speak at this event. I had a great time learning more about this part of the FLOSS developer community.

My slides and notes for the talk are now available.

If you’d like to continue this discussion at your own conference, get in touch!
