It’s no secret the market is rough right now, both for job seekers and the companies looking to hire. I know that there are a lot of roles that don’t get posted on job boards because they’re being innudated with AI slop. At the same time, as someone who’s applying for jobs it often feels like I’m shouting into the void.
I’m looking for help to connect with folks at companies that might be a fit for me, now or in the future. Even if there isn’t something open right now, I’d love to hear more about what folks are doing. If you are (or know) a staff engineer, team lead, or hiring manager at a company you think I might be interested in, get in touch. I’m on LinkedIn and my email address is below. I’d be happy to send you my current resume.
I’m interested in:
- Early to mid-stage startups
- B2B, devops/infrastructure, or security products
- Full stack or backend-focused
- Data pipelines, APIs, and related areas are my first pick but I have experience throughout the stack
- My recent experience is Typescript/React
- I’m comfortable with Ruby or Go
- Would be happy to learn Rust or Python as needed
- Remote with West Coast timezone overlap
About me: I’m a software engineer with 20 years experience that spans everything from full-stack web and mobile development to working on high-profile open source projects that are an essential part of the developer ecosystem. I’m especially great at detangling complex problems and teaching others what I’ve learned. For me, finding the right team is crucial. I know the best way to make that happen is to meet folks and see what clicks.
Thanks!
